Link Automation was founded in 1991 as a spin-off of a company utilizing highly complex computerized equipment for the inspection of printed circuit board layers. Verifying that the traces and pads of a circuit board layer have been produced to specification is integral to the success of the finished board. Printed circuit boards are the backbone of mass produced electronic equipment, such as mobile phones, PCs, and TVs.

In the search for the next generation of products to fuel Link Automation's growth, the decision was made in 1992 to use the company's electronics expertise to create innovative and precise control systems for the chemical treatment and filtration of water. Since that time, Link Automation has become a premier controls leader in this field. The entire process, from designing features and functionality to the development of the hardware and software necessary to make the products a reality, is done by the skilled employees of the company.
